(Patria) - Police in Croatia are looking for a person who has been setting fires in the area from Makarska to Omiš in recent days.

They stated that an investigation determined that yesterday's fires in the Makarska area were set intentionally, and a photo has emerged that allegedly shows matches that caused the entire horror in the area between Makarska and Omiš.

The fires break out in a short time and at locations close to each other. Yesterday, police questioned about 150 people previously known to them as perpetrators of the criminal offense of arson, but they have not yet found the pyromaniac.

Deputy Chief of the Split-Dalmatia Police Department, Siniša Mihanović, said that regarding today's fire, as well as the fires that have broken out in the Makarska area in recent days, the criminal offense of arson is being intensively investigated.

Therefore, the police appeal to citizens to contact them with any information that could help them find the perpetrator. The worst was this morning in the Omiš area, where houses, an olive oil mill, boats, etc. burned down.
