(Patria) - The Supervisory Board of KJKP Rad made a decision that the executive director for economic and legal affairs, Samir Kurtanović, will perform the duties of director, while Nijaz Salamović is under restrictive measures due to an investigation conducted by the KS Prosecutor's Office. Members of the Supervisory Board are also under investigation, who first appointed Salamović as acting director, and then as director of the company, even though he did not meet the requirements, which led to changes in the Statute.

Although KJKP Rad only confirmed the information that Kurtanović manages the company after inquiries from numerous media outlets, the question arises as to why there is so much secrecy about who runs a public company founded by the Canton. Yesterday, we tried to find out when and who is authorized to manage the company at several addresses. Although the Prime Minister of KS, Nihad Uk, confirmed that "the Supervisory Board resolved this issue" and referred us to the relevant Ministry of Communal Economy of KS, we did not receive a response from that Ministry.

Regarding KJKP Rad, it was confirmed to Patria during the day that the company is managed by a person authorized by the Supervisory Board, who did not want to reveal their name, and only after receiving multiple media inquiries did they officially announce that it was Samir Kurtanović.

Incidentally, Kurtanović is the former director of KJKP Pokop, appointed in September 2021, and dismissed at his own request on March 18, 2024. On March 19, Kurtanović became the executive director at KJKP Rad. Kurtanović is a member of the People and Justice party. His term lasts until February 2028.

However, it should be noted that KJKP Pokop operated at a loss during Kurtanović's tenure, and neither the company's Assembly nor the Supervisory Board adopted the work reports for 2023 because a loss exceeding KM 800,000 was incurred.

The Supervisory Board did not adopt the work report

In 2023, Kurtanović took out a multi-million loan for the company's current operations, as shown by the financial audit of Pokop for 2023.

As confirmed by KJKP Rad, Kurtanović will manage KJKP Rad as long as the reasons that caused the director's inability to perform his duties persist.

"The aforementioned decision ceases to be valid upon the cessation of the reasons that prevented the director from performing his duties, as well as upon the fulfillment of other legal and statutory reasons that constitute grounds for the decision to cease to be valid," they stated.

According to information circulating, the future director of this company will be Mirza Selimbegović from the People and Justice party, who will lose his position as he lost the mayoral race in Novi Grad municipality, and his term in the Municipal Council of Novi Grad is ending.
