BRUSSELS VISIT Bećirović spoke with ambassadors of Turkey, Slovenia, Poland, and Ukraine

(Patria) - During his visit to Brussels, member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović spoke with the ambassadors of Turkey, Slovenia, Poland, and Ukraine about the current geopolitical situation, the situation in Ukraine, and the dynamization of Bosnia and Herzegovina's NATO path. He stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina would best continue to achieve its progress through NATO membership, which would, in the long term, improve stability, encourage internal integration, attract foreign investment, and thus contribute to the Alliance's security in the long term.

Among other things, member of the BiH Presidency Bećirović emphasized that the consequences of the Russian aggression against Ukraine have a direct impact on the security and political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed solidarity with the citizens of Ukraine, emphasizing that the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina understand the suffering of the Ukrainian people and their fight for freedom.

During the meeting, member of the BiH Presidency Bećirović stressed that the completely new geopolitical situation requires faster, more efficient, and concrete responses so that Bosnia and Herzegovina receives an invitation for NATO membership as soon as possible. The acceleration and entry of Bosnia and Herzegovina into NATO will minimize the possibility of conflicts in this part of Europe and strengthen the security of the entire continent.

Member of the BiH Presidency Denis Bećirović sent a message that Bosnia and Herzegovina will undoubtedly continue its NATO path and that his visit to Brussels is not of a private nature. On the contrary, numerous working meetings with high-ranking NATO officials in Brussels give special political weight to this visit, but also represent a clear signal of Western support for preserving the independent and sovereign state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
