Political joint criminal enterprise with deferred effect: Tuđman's napkin in the European Parliament!

By: Amina Čorbo-Zećo

Brussels is quite lost in the current geopolitical changes, as evidenced by its too often uncoordinated actions. They look like a discordant orchestra, and today that orchestra will be conducted by the Vice-President of the European People's Party (EPP) and member of the European Parliament's Committee on Culture and Education, Željana Zovko!

She will present the intangible and tangible heritage of the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European Parliament.

This topic passed smoothly in the highest European legislative body, although calling the Old Bridge in Mostar "Croatian cultural heritage" is an unprecedented shame, which proves that official Croatian policy continues the joint criminal enterprise against BiH.

It is interesting that, led by Franjo Tuđman, they wanted to destroy BiH in order to annex part of its territory to Croatia, and on the path of that destruction, they also destroyed the Old Bridge, and now they are appropriating it – restored and in its old glory, which the HVO criminals wanted to extinguish, and with it the lives of Bosniaks in Mostar!

When they failed to destroy BiH, Zovko now calls the Old Bridge hers, and no one in Brussels is questioning how it is possible that MEP Zovko knowingly and insidiously falsifies history.

I believe that in the debate, some enlightened parliamentarians, proven friends of BiH, will draw attention to the facts that indicate a gross re-writing of Bosnia and Herzegovina's past, in which a 'legitimate' Croat woman lies and carries out historical revisionism similar to the Serbian one.

Nothing surprises me from her, and even less from the EU, as a community that doesn't know where it's sailing. Not so long ago, Zovko voted against an amendment by which the European Parliament expressed outrage over the statement of war criminal Dario Kordić.

Let us recall, Kordić was filmed at a gathering saying that he would kill innocent Bosniak civilians again, and that he does not regret the committed crime.

"I would repeat everything, I wouldn't change a second, every second was worth it" – was Kordić's heinous statement.

Will Zovko today mention that she "would do it all again", which would include the destruction of the Old Bridge, or will she utter an additional lie that the bridge was destroyed by members of the Army of RBiH, and all this from the bench of the European Parliament, where representatives from BiH should also sit, but it is unlikely to happen if the HDZ adheres to its principles of legitimate representation, ignoring the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.

Zovko also managed to use the war in Ukraine to tell Brussels how important it is for the model of legitimate representation to be implemented in BiH, because "everything that seemed impossible, after the invasion of Ukraine and the talk about the use of nuclear weapons, now seems possible. We need to prepare for a possible complication of the situation in BiH." These complications almost invariably come from HDZ BiH, or from the BiH entity of Rs, and they do not shy away from openly threatening "unrest in the south", or declaring Rs independent.

All this with the silence from Brussels, which was not even able to follow the sanctions imposed on Milorad Dodik, while they coldly accepted Andrej Plenković to be the leader of BiH's EU integration!?

If they have allowed all this and left BiH to the mercy of the unfulfilled ambitions of its neighbors, they should openly tell us to look once again at Tuđman's famous napkin on which he outlined the division of Bosnia together with the Balkan butcher Slobodan Milošević, because this is nothing other than a political joint criminal enterprise, similar to the criminal one convicted in The Hague.

On Tuđman's napkin, Mostar was conceived as part of the Banovina of Croatia, and thus the Old Bridge. It is up to the European Union and its Parliament to decide whether they will accept the idea of the Banovina being virtually realized within their institutions, an idea that was not realized through the criminal campaigns of Tuđman's executioners.
