
(Patria) - Police officers of the Belgrade Police Department identified and arrested T. K. (born 1981) on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder of a 68-year-old woman on Saturday in New Belgrade.
The suspect yesterday around 1 p.m. in the lobby of a building inflicted multiple stab wounds on the victim with a knife, causing life-threatening injuries, after which he stole her bag and fled the scene.
T. K. has been detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought, along with a criminal complaint, to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.
Media in Serbia report that the attacker is Tihomir Krstić, who was released from prison two months ago.
