(Patria) - Voting to dismiss mayors, who were elected in elections boycotted by most Serbian parties, began at polling stations in the municipalities of North Mitrovica, Leposavić, Zubin Potok and Zvečan at 7 AM.
The Central Election Commission of Kosovo announced that 46,556 citizens have the right to vote, or 1,461 more compared to the elections held on April 23 last year.
For the process of dismissing the mayors to be successful, at least 50 percent plus one voter with the right to vote must choose the "yes" option in each of the four municipalities in northern Kosovo.
Serbian List, the largest party of Serbs from Kosovo, announced that it will not participate in the voting, which ends at 7:00 PM.
