(Patria) - Prime Minister Andrej Plenković met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in Davos, and revealed what they discussed.
“The meeting with Vučić was good, we put on the table further relations between Croatia and Serbia, that still, I would say, ongoing process of normalisation, all those issues that are a legacy of the past, which are an obstacle to a better relationship between Croatia and Serbia were on the agenda, as well as economic relations. I think that was good,” said Prime Minister Plenković.
He believes it is good that Anja Šimpraga is Vice President of the Croatian Government and that Tomislav Žigmanov is a minister in the Serbian Government.
“I think all such meetings are good when it comes to improving relations,” said Plenković about the meeting with Vučić, as reported by N1.
He also commented on Croatian President Zoran Milanović, whom he says expresses pro-Russian views. “The government has a principled and consistent foreign policy that protects Croatian interests. Our policy is correct, right, full of solidarity towards Ukraine and with condemnation of Russian aggression. I do not see the same stance from him.”
“That is a harmful policy for Croatia's international position, which I constantly talk about. Someone is doing good and useful work for the state, and you have him who harms us in all of this,” added the Prime Minister, stating that some people in Croatia see this, while others do not.
