SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Although his salary was increased yesterday, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić will still receive the lowest salary of all his colleagues in the region, amounting to around 170,000 dinars (around 1,400 euros) per month.
Namely, at the session of the Administrative Committee of the Serbian Parliament, Milenko Jovanov reminded that the Budget Law stipulates that the salaries of budget beneficiaries, including the President of the Republic, are increased by 12.5 percent from January this year.
In Vučić's case, this means that his monthly personal income will now amount to almost 1,500 euros.
This salary is still lower than the income of presidents of other countries in the region where Serbia is located. The highest salary in this part of Europe is held by Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar, whose income is 3,322 euros per month. Croatian President Zoran Milanović is paid 3,000 euros for the position he holds, reports Danas.rs.
The current members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, Željka Cvijanović and Željko Komšić, earn 2,922 euros per month in their positions. In terms of salary, immediately behind them is Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović, whose salary is 2,420 euros.
Albanian President Bajram Begaj earns 2,208 euros per month, while the salary received by North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski is 1,500 euros.
