Fifteen-year-old boy from Sarajevo beaten in Podgorica: Cursed and insulted on a national basis

(Patria) - A fifteen-year-old boy from Sarajevo, who is visiting friends in Podgorica with his mother, was injured last night in an attack by minors in the Blok pet neighborhood. A successful athlete, a representative of BiH in water polo and an excellent student, became the victim of a group of peers, who, after cursing and spitting, brutally knocked him to the ground, hitting him with their hands and feet on the head. The case has been reported to the Police Administration, reports the portal roditelji.me.

According to the mother, the boy went out around 9:30 PM to a nearby park with his thirteen-year-old friend, with whom they are staying, and his two female friends. While he was talking on the phone, he heard shouting and saw a group of about twenty minors approaching them. One of them approached the thirteen-year-old and asked him what he had with his sister, slapped him twice, and then directed the same question to the boy from Sarajevo. When he answered where he was from to one of their questions, curses followed, "you came here to f***, f*** your Balija mother", spitting, and punches to the head. The others joined him, knocked him to the ground, and continued to hit him with their hands and feet on the head and body.

The attack was stopped by a woman who was passing by, and at her threat to call the police, the attackers fled.

"I dare not even think what could have happened if she hadn't been there and reacted. Unfortunately, I don't know who that person is, to whom I owe endless gratitude. That's why I would like her to come forward," says the mother of the injured teenager.

Doctors at the Institute for Children's Diseases treated the injured fifteen-year-old late last night, as evidenced by the reports of the surgeon and ophthalmologist. Another minor reported to this health institution due to a hand injury sustained in the attack on the fifteen-year-old from Sarajevo.

Everything that happened did not stop the attackers' family, even upon arrival at the hospital, as they continued to threaten and direct similar curses at the mother of the injured teenager. According to her, realizing the seriousness of what their child was accused of, they went a step further, offering to settle the matter in another way and for the family to leave Montenegro without seeking justice.

The mother of the teenager living in Sarajevo expects the police and prosecution to do everything to shed light on this case without delay and punish those responsible.

"And that no one ever experiences what my child and we as a family are currently going through," she says.

The Police Administration confirmed to the Roditelji.me portal that investigative actions are underway in this case, that officers are taking statements from minors, and that the duty prosecutor of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica has also been informed of the case.
