OPENING OF THE POČITELJ BRIDGE: No Place for Bosniaks Even in the Technical Acceptance Commission, 12 Out of 13 Members Are Non-Bosniaks

The ceremonial opening of the Počitelj-Zvirovići motorway subsection will be held tomorrow, 4 September, at 7 PM in front of the Herzegovina tunnel. This bridge officially bore the name Most Počitelj until Denis Lasić arrived as the director of Autoceste.
Počitelj was simply removed; we do not know who ultimately made that decision. That this is a 'Croatian story' and a demarcation of territory was also ensured by the Federal Minister of Spatial Planning, Željko Nedić (HDZ BiH), who appointed the Commission for the Technical Inspection of Completed Works on the Construction of the Motorway on Corridor Vc, subsection Počitelj-Zvirovići.

This commission had 13 members. Among these 13 commission members, there is only one Bosniak, Ahmet Žustra, a graduate mechanical engineer. Adelko Krmek, a graduate geodesy engineer, is the president of the commission.

The other members are: Dragan Ćubela, Dejan Kvesić, Marin Nikolić, Zdenko Mimica, Ivana Čuljak, Ivan Šimunović, Boris Šunjić, Davorin Murgić, Nikica Zovko, Svjetlana Jerkić, and Dražen Vrdoljak.



Nermin Nikšić, the Prime Minister of the Federation, spoke today on social networks, exclusively about the importance of completing this project, without a single word about the fact that the public has been buzzing for days about the scandalous act of the ceremony itself. It is now clear that Nikšić is not bothered by the Croatian gathering in which he will also participate, while the citizens of the entire BiH will repay a loan of 100 million euros.

And so Nikšić, for the opening of what was until yesterday known among the people as the Počitelj bridge, planned and secured the attendance of the Prime Minister of Croatia, Andrej Plenković. Along with the post, he shared a video showing, as he says, how beautiful and grand our Herzegovina is.

The reason for his presence and address is unknown, because Croatia did not participate in the construction of this section.

This is simply a marking of territory, because the invitations were dictated by Dragan Čović and sent by Lasić, while Nikšić approved everything.

Incidentally, at the opening of the 980-meter-long bridge, the ceremonial program will feature the Croatian music group Mostar, Klapa Drača, Antonija Batinić, and HKUD Rodoč.

And now we ask ourselves: is this a ceremonial rounding off of territory or a ceremonial opening of a bridge, which was supposed to be operational from 5 September at noon?

The only positive moment in the whole story is that this time Andrej Plenković announced himself. Otherwise, Croatian officials in BiH burst in like guerrillas, walking through parts of the state of BiH where HDZ BiH rules, acting as if 'it is theirs,' talking about European values and BiH's path to the European Union (!?). The same Plenković advocated for the suspension of the FBiH Constitution in order to nullify the will of one people.

And yesterday he was with High Representative Christian Schmidt, discussing the situation in Southeast Europe and support for BiH after the opening of EU accession negotiations. The same Schmidt whose party official (CSU) published a scandalous Islamophobic video that caused numerous reactions in Germany. He deleted it, but too late. Everyone saw what the Bavarian Minister of the Interior thinks, and we know that shortly before the publication of this video (29 August), he was in Croatia, where he discussed 'the protection of the EU's external borders' with officials of that country.
