Armored vehicles for MUP TK arrived in Ploče, soon to be in BiH

(Patria) - Armored vehicles procured by the Tuzla Canton for the needs of the MUP TK police have arrived in Ploče, confirmed the Prime Minister of TK Irfan Halilagić to NAP.

They will soon be transferred to Bosnia and Herzegovina as soon as Croatia issues a permit for transport to the border.

We remind you that this canton previously announced the procurement of four Senator armored personnel carriers from the Canadian company Roshel.

These are Roshel Senator vehicles, backed by a Canadian company specializing in the production of armored vehicles.

Roshel is a relatively young Canadian company founded in 2016, but it has already proven itself in the production of armored vehicles, with its products used by NASA and police agencies in Canada and the USA.

The vehicles came under scrutiny after Canada delivered them to Ukraine as part of its donations. In May last year, eight of these vehicles in the APC variant were delivered, and in mid-January, it was announced that as part of a new aid package for Ukraine, as many as 200 such vehicles would be delivered. The package is estimated to be worth over 90 million dollars.

Interestingly, the units already delivered found their purpose with the Kraken unit, which is part of the Ukrainian spetsnaz units and is one of the most praised components of the Ukrainian armed forces.

According to specifications, the Senator has ballistic protection up to 7.62 mm caliber. The vehicle was tested by the National Research Council of Canada to confirm its static rollover threshold and rollover response characteristics. The vehicle demonstrated the best lateral slope performance in its class, consistently reaching the 39-degree mark on both sides. Machine guns of 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm caliber can be mounted on the vehicle.

The company boasts that the Senator APC has high maneuverability, with a small turning radius, making it excellently suited for urban areas. The entire vehicle is air-conditioned, allowing the crew to operate comfortably in all climatic conditions.
