(Patria) - During the inspection of a passenger vehicle at the Uvac border crossing, authorized officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority found and seized 90 kg of shisha flavour that was attempted to be smuggled into Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Authorized officials of the ITA inspected a passenger vehicle at the Uvac border crossing between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, and during the inspection, they discovered undeclared shisha flavour. In the trunk and on the back seat of the inspected vehicle, they found 90 kg of shisha flavour, which the individual did not declare upon entering the customs territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Given that it is a larger quantity of excise goods, whose market value with associated duties amounts to approximately 21,870 KM, the shisha flavour was temporarily seized in accordance with the instructions of the prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH.
An indictment report for the committed criminal offense and perpetrator will be filed with the Prosecutor's Office of BiH against the person from whom the goods were seized, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of "Smuggling" under Article 214 of the Criminal Code of BiH has been committed.
The Indirect Taxation Authority invites all citizens to report any form of illegal trade, tax or customs evasion on the open ITA line at 080 02 06 07. All calls are free and completely anonymous.
