
(Patria) - An earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale hit the Sjenica area today, the second stronger tremor in just two days in that part of Serbia.
The tremor was registered at 1:39 PM at a depth of 5 kilometers, announced the Republic Seismological Institute.
Citizens of Novi Pazar and Ivanjica reported feeling the ground shake.
Two days ago, an earthquake measuring 4.4 hit Golija, also in the vicinity of Sjenica.
About twenty minutes after the new tremor, a weaker tremor measuring 2 followed, and less than an hour and a half later, a third tremor was recorded in the same area, with a magnitude of 1.9.
The ground shaking was felt in many cities across Serbia.
