New method of calculating electricity consumption for households by tariffs, instructions published

(Patria) - The calculation of electricity consumption for customers in the household category will from today be carried out at prices determined by the Decision of the Regulatory Commission for Energy in FBiH on giving consent to JP Elektroprivreda BiH on the proposed supply prices for end customers with the public supplier.

Depending on electricity consumption, three block tariffs will apply for the household category: green block tariff - for consumption from 0 to 350 kWh, blue block tariff - for consumption from 351 to 1,000 kWh, and red block tariff - for each kWh over 1,000 kWh.

The Distribution System Operator (DSO) JP Elektroprivreda BiH is intensively carrying out activities to prepare an extraordinary reading of metering points, in order to demarcate consumption as of September 1, 2025.

Given that it is necessary to read consumption at 741,000 metering devices, a large number of inaccessible metering points, and limited human and technical resources, reading all metering devices on September 1 is technically not feasible.

Therefore, the Distribution System Operator (DSO) JP Elektroprivreda BiH calls on customers who regularly submit reading data to do so on September 1, 2025, and other customers to record the meter reading status on September 1, 2025.

Instructions on how to read electricity consumption, i.e., the meter reading status, are available on the portal of JP Elektroprivreda BiH www.epbih.ba.
