
(Patria) - Young BiH swimmer Zerina Vrabac today completed her participation at the Komen Cup in Cyprus with a new gold medal.
After becoming the new cadet champion of the Mediterranean in the 100-meter butterfly discipline on the first day of the weekend, the member of the Sport Time Swimming Club swam to gold in the 200-meter butterfly today.
With a dominant performance, Zerina left the representative of Spain behind in the 200-meter race today with a lead of more than two seconds, while the third-placed Italian had a deficit of as much as four seconds.
The representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina won the gold medal with a time of 2:15.48, thus setting a new national record for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the cadet category.
- In her second and favorite discipline, Zerina Vrabac exceeded expectations in Cyprus. We are proud that the new gold medal was accompanied by breaking the national record.
We justifiably nurture the hope that the best is yet to come in the future - stated the coach of the Sport Time Swimming Club, Aldin Avdić.
Zerina Vrabac won the gold medal with a time of 1:01.64 on the first day of the weekend at the Komen Cup, Sport Time announced.
