
(Patria) - Jasenka Potogija is the new president of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, it was decided at the session of the HJPC.
We remind you, Halil Lagumdžija, president of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH whose term expires on February 8, had the last mission to appoint Dženana Brković to this position, but the majority did not think so.
The implementation of the plan for Brković to be appointed president of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo began, according to Patria's information, last year, when Brković was appointed judge of the Cantonal Court Sarajevo, for the purpose of being able to apply for the position of president of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo.
Brković held the position of president of the Municipal Court in Zenica from 11/01/2019 to 06/30/2024. From 12/01/2008 to 10/31/2019, she was a judge at the Municipal Court in Zenica. She became a judge of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo on 07/01/2024 and is running for president of the Cantonal Court.
Her opponents for the position of president of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo were long-time judges of this court, Anabela Bogdan – Krstović and Jasenka Potogija.
