Naša stranka and Secretary General Osmanagić requested data from the CEC on who is behind the 'Možemo bolje' party and the independent list in Centar

At yesterday's session of the Central Election Commission, the institution's responses to two requests submitted by the political organization Naša stranka and the Secretary General of Naša stranka, Ćamil Osmanagić, were also considered.

In both requests, data was sought from the CEC on who the authorized person in the political organization Možemo bolje is, who the founders are, and who the representatives are. Osmanagić's request also asked for information about the authorized person of the political organization Možemo bolje and the independent list CC.

As could be heard at the CEC session, they do not possess all this information and therefore cannot provide it in response to Naša stranka's request, about which they were informed.

Regarding Osmanagić's request, he was informed that his request was irregular and that he has five days to submit a corrected request. Although he personally received the CEC's notification, the Secretary General of Naša stranka has not submitted a new request for access to information.

The political organization Možemo bolje was recently founded in Bihać and is running in the local elections with a list for the Bihać City Council and the Centar Municipality. The initiator of the initiative is Željko Mirković Grga, a former SDP member from Bihać.

It is precisely the list for the Centar Municipality that is the subject of Naša stranka's interest. The media previously reported that the current mayor Srđan Mandić (Naša stranka) allegedly prepared his own list for the upcoming elections for the Centar Municipal Council, independent of Naša stranka's list.

Regarding his candidacy, Mandić is registered as a candidate of the BH Bloc, i.e., Naša stranka and SDP BiH. Narod i pravda will not have its own candidate, and as we were told, they will leave it to their voters to decide who to vote for as the mayor of Centar Municipality.

Mandić and the Municipal Organization of NiP have been in conflict for a longer period, and NiP councilors, with the support of several other councilors, managed to vote to initiate the recall of Mandić, but the referendum was never held. Relations between Mandić and NiP have not improved, and Mandić claims in public appearances that the president of that party, Elmedin Konaković, supports him.

The concept of the 'Trojka' (Trio) in Sarajevo Canton, established in 2020, has not held, and turbulence has been present in other municipalities as well.

The Trojka will have one candidate in Novo Sarajevo, Benjamin Karić, and in Novo Grad, Mirza Selimbegović.

According to Patria's information, Irfan Čengić will be nominated for Stari Grad on behalf of SDP, not the Trojka; on Ilidža, Nermin Muzur; while in Hadžići, both Naša stranka and NiP will have a candidate for mayor. In Ilijaš, NiP will have a candidate, and SDP in Vogošća.
