Glass wall breaks at nightclub entrance, multiple people injured

(Patria) - When glass fell at the entrance of a nightclub on Gaje Bulata Square in Split, 22 people sustained injuries, one of them serious, the Split-Dalmatia Police Department announced.

"Last night, July 3 around 00:15 hours, a report was received that glass had fallen in Split on Gaje Bulata Square, directly next to the entrance of a nightclub. All emergency services responded to the scene. 22 people sought medical assistance, one of whom sustained serious bodily injuries and was kept in hospital," the police stated.

They added that the other people sustained minor injuries and were released after medical treatment.

Police officers secured the scene until the arrival of the investigation team. An investigation was conducted at the scene.

According to what has been established so far, the glass wall broke due to pushing by a larger number of people while entering the club, the police said.
