(Patria) - The observation mission "Crta" announced that it recorded numerous incidents during today's regular local elections in ten municipalities and cities of Serbia.
"Crta" points out that polling boards in Kladovo are preventing its observers from entering some polling stations, while at some polling stations, "third parties" are present, presenting themselves as observers but not stating which mission they work for.
Cases of organized bringing of voters to the polls are also observed.
In Majdanpek, the secrecy of voting was severely compromised at several polling stations, and in some cases, "as many as five people voted behind the same booth".
"Crta" also stated that in Knjaževac, parallel record-keeping and organized bringing of voters to the polls were observed at several polling stations.
In that city, a large number of cars with license plates from Belgrade, Novi Sad, and other cities, as well as vehicles without plates, are noticeable.
In Sevojno, at one polling station, "Crta" observers witnessed violations of voting secrecy, and a vehicle suspected of organizing voter transport to the polls was observed.
In Aranđelovac, the presence of organized groups and police near polling stations is visible. A "case of intimidation of citizens, with unknown persons driving vehicles towards them", was recorded.
"An attempt at a 'Bulgarian train' was discovered at one polling station. "Crta" observers spoke with two women who, as they themselves stated, were brought to vote in a larger group," the organization states.
Additionally, at several polling stations, "voting secrecy was violated – photographing of ballots outside the booth was recorded, often openly and without hiding, as well as cases where booths were turned towards the polling board".
Irregularities in the work of polling boards were observed, including incorrect application of the UV lamp and loud reading of voters' names.
Furthermore, a logistics center of the Serbian Progressive Party was identified in the immediate vicinity of polling station number 1, with a crowd and a large police presence in front of it.
In Lučani, two polling stations lead in the frequency of irregularities – photographing of ballots, keeping parallel records, interference of observers in the work of the polling board.
Several arguments were recorded, and around the stadium of FK Lučani, near which the polling stations are located, "large suspicious gatherings" were noticed, "Crta" points out.
In Bor, several physical altercations were recorded, as well as an attack on a student mobile team and a "Crta" observer.
In that city, "voting secrecy was seriously compromised at a large number of polling stations, and the phenomenon of photographing ballots was frequent".
In Bajina Bašta, several serious incidents occurred – two students were beaten, several cars were damaged, and their tires were punctured.
