
(Patria) - Police in Serbia arrested three citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, two of whom are members of the BiH Armed Forces, on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of smuggling.
The arrested individuals are E. A. (1988) from Tuzla, as well as two active members of the BiH Armed Forces, B. B. (1986) from Tuzla and A. M. (1998) from Srebrenica.
"In the continued fight against corruption, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Department for Combating Corruption of the Criminal Police Directorate, in cooperation with police officers of the Regional Center for Border Police towards Bosnia and Herzegovina, and upon the order of the Special Department for Combating Corruption of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Kraljevo, arrested three citizens of BiH due to grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of smuggling," stated the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia.
They are suspected of having, at the Bajina Bašta border crossing, on the exit from Serbia towards BiH, avoided customs control measures by transferring hookah shisha flavors from a "BMW" car, with Bosnian license plates, into a boat located on the bank of the Drina River, on Lake Perućac, on the territory of Serbia.
Police officers caught them with 82 packages of this excise goods, valued at approximately 2,094,085 dinars (around 33,000 KM).
