Man detonated a bomb in front of a store in Croatia

(Patria) - A resident of Roma nationality detonated a bomb in front of a local store in the Croatian municipality of Darda shortly before 6 PM today.

The SiB portal writes that passers-by and store employees witnessed the event. There were no children nearby attending the school, which is less than a kilometer away from the scene.

A resident of Darda, a municipality located near Osijek, said that it was a man who, along with another person, often spent time in front of the store.

- Both of them are constantly in front of the store and drinking. They are in a difficult social situation, obviously mentally unstable, and I would say it's a lack of care for these people - stated the resident.

She added that teachers kept the children at school. The store employees, as reported by Croatian media, were not injured.

A police investigation is underway.
