THE POWER OF THE DOLLAR How US-funded media and civilians shaped Bosnia and Herzegovina: Between alms, then and now!

Written by: Rasim Belko

We are prone to forgetting, and that is one of our major flaws. Because who today, in the daily chaos of information, news and lies, can remember the news that between 2017 and 2022, 80 million US dollars arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina for non-governmental organizations and media.

And that fact largely conditioned the times we live in today, only due to the aforementioned chaos we are obviously not aware of, which suits those who gave the mentioned 80 million KM. In fact, they sent that much money to Bosnia and Herzegovina to collectively brainwash us, all under the guise of promoting democratic values.

The report of the Fund for Combating Russian Influence, published by the Office of the Inspector General of the State Department, says that non-governmental organizations and media in Bosnia and Herzegovina received the mentioned 80 million KM.

But, even without the report and without information about it, it was quite easy to understand that the Bosnian public sphere is not dictated by truth, but by the promotional power of propaganda from somewhere outside.

In those five years, we witnessed events and narratives that largely created the state we live in today. Well-paid media and civilians (NGO activists) through megaphones presented the situation of those years to us as an apocalypse. Bosnia and Herzegovina was at that time both the European Africa and a dark province, and every move of the government of that time was viewed through multiple magnifying glasses and aids.

Viewed, analyzed, spun.

It was a time when every foreign and domestic aid was presented as alms, charity, handout, or simply welfare for the state and its entities. They presented us as Germany when aid arrived and as African poverty when the government failed to solve problems.

Who today remembers the headlines of media paid with American millions and the civilians on those headlines explaining to us that we are supposedly a paradise, but we have a devilish government so we are suffocating in poverty.

Alms policy was the phrase used at that time to describe the FBiH Government which, due to force of circumstances, i.e., the HDZ blockade, was led by Fadil Novalić, and which functioned with difficulty. Because, at that time, donations and foreign aid were not in and fancy. Then it was all subsumed under the failure of bad government.

And in fact, although I do not like to be a general after the battle, today it can be stated with a high degree of certainty that those megaphones powered by US dollars dictated that we end up in the mud we live in today.

A well-packaged story about bad respirators that kill people began the final act of the propaganda show in which the government was to be overthrown. Civilians took turns as soul-caretakers to inform us about the incompetent government and rulers buying killer machines.

It continued with the sanitation of the political terrain and reached its peak when the one who is supposed to protect the international agreement in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and who responds to Christian Schmidt, decided to become a prince and impose laws, and change election rules.

Fadil fell, the alms prime minister! The megaphones shouted while US dollars were still dripping. Civilians admired their own belief that they had overthrown the government, while global tycoons, whom only we still call investors, rubbed their hands. In Vareš, on state land, dollars flowed in the opposite direction, the Sarajevo International Airport smelled to them like coffee in grandma's yard. When they finish that, they will come for Elektroprivreda, and they wouldn't mind Bosnian magnesium or lithium either.

All while the prime minister called "Njiva" moves stuck between nothing and nowhere. In that movement, he spent billions of the budget and surplus of the prime minister we called alms, who today lies in Vojkovići because he did not agree to concessions for those "investors" and modern colonialists from the IMF.

During that time, Nikšić indebted even great-grandchildren, and the incompetence shown in the tragedy of Jablanica, Konjic, Kiseljak, Fojnica and Kreševo is hard to even comment on.

But today is a different time. There is no Fadil, no promoters of democracy to "fly in" millions to independent media and civilians. Who will write today that our economy would collapse next to the imposed FBiH Government and the incompetent Prime Minister Nikšić?

Rarely, but civilians and those independents with American millions usually call such people radicals, bots, scoundrels, SDA journalists.

However, it should still be recorded - if it weren't for the alms of the Turkish donor, our economy would have collapsed, and the Railways of the Federation would have waited a long time for new trains to thunder through.

Nevertheless, the railway will soon be rebuilt. To heal the consequences of the actions of American megaphones in the cellophane of independent journalism and civil society, much more water will have to flow. If that damage can be repaired!
