(Patria) - Croatian Minister of Justice Damir Habijan stated that indictments have not been received from Bosnia and Herzegovina, but rather requests.
To recall, after Croatian President Zoran Milanović warned about the issue of indictments which, as he said, are arriving from Bosnia and Herzegovina 30 years after the end of the war, HRT unofficially learned that the State Attorney's Office of the Republic of Croatia (DORH) has not received any indictments from BiH in the last year.
- Regarding the information that came out yesterday, we must first mention and deny the claims that these are indictments against certain individuals.
So, first and foremost, I am referring to General Krstičević, Sopti, and Blaškić. There are no indictments against the mentioned individuals. Just to clarify that part, given that their names are mentioned in the media.
The impression created yesterday is completely wrong, and I would truly appeal not to create such an impression, because these are actually requests, procedures that have been ongoing since 2009.
This concerns international legal cooperation, and I think it is in everyone's interest, especially the veteran population, not to portray such tensions, I would say, a situation representing extraordinary events, in that way, because it truly is not - said Habijan.
