Milatović resigns from all positions in the 'Europe Now' Movement

(Patria) - Deputy President of the "Europe Now" Movement (PES) and current President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović has resigned from all positions in PES.

Milatović says that the current way of working is contrary to what was promised and the values he had in mind when creating PES.

"When founding the Europe Now Movement, we promised citizens transparency in work, rational and reasoned dialogue on policies that are inclusive and sustainable.

At the same time, we promised that competence and personal integrity would be decisive factors in hiring and advancement.

Also, we promised a different political culture based on respect for diversity and affirmation of European values," Milatović stated.

He emphasizes that the Europe Now Movement will remain an important part of his life.

"Together we wrote the history of democratic changes in the country. As before, guided exclusively by the interests of citizens, as President of Montenegro I will direct all my capacities towards the realization of key state priorities," Milatović concluded in a post on X.
