Milanović in his element: Good luck to Germany, maybe they'll fare better in a war with Russia than 70 years ago

(Patria) - Croatian President Zoran Milanović today visited the company AD Plastik, where he addressed the public. He said it is a successful company operating in several countries, including Russia, where their assets were seized, and that this is now "normal."

“I say this because it is so, not because I am taking sides, and this applies in general,” he said.

He added that it is a company that exports everything it produces and that it would be good to have more such companies, rather than relying solely on tourism in Croatia. “Serbia consumes more electricity per capita, and they have more people, which means we produce nothing,” he added.

Regarding the sending of Western tanks to Ukraine, he said it will prolong the war. “If America and Russia do not reach an agreement, and that is not in sight, the war will not stop. I somehow hope that some talks are ongoing, or we will slowly head towards a third world war, which some think has already started, but I am a bit restrained. As for the tanks, both Russian and American ones burn the same,” he said.

“Militarily, Croatia should not help at all. Do you want us to enter the war? I quoted the Ukrainian minister who said this is a proxy war. I just repeated his news. And then we heard how Lavrov praised me, but a few days later the German foreign minister said we must be united because, I quote, we are at war with Russia. I did not know that. Maybe Germany is at war with Russia again, but good luck to them, maybe they'll fare better than about 70 years ago,” he said.

“And now I expect our scribblers from the handžar media to praise her, or for Lavrov to award her an order and propose to her, with Radman as the best man. Now we have heard from the Greens, who were a pacifist and anti-American and anti-Russian party, that we are also at war. We are not at war, Russia and America are at war, but Germany is not and they won't have a say in anything, and maybe that's better because we saw what they did with the resolution on BiH,” he said.

“Maybe those tanks will burn, maybe they will reach Crimea, but without Croatia. I will always advocate for that. Those who want to please someone in Brussels might advocate for it, but I will not,” he added.

When asked by a journalist about how he is living and how politics has affected him. “Badly, you pass 50 and realize you can no longer run after a workday, you live differently. You sit and eat more, but that's how it is,” he said.

He also returned to serious topics. “If we are at war with Russia, then let's see what we need to do, and then we won't ask Germany for their opinion. Scholz was somewhat milder, but they should agree on who is the chancellor there. I have been in politics for a long time, and our country has been through a lot, but I have never seen such madness,” he concluded.
