MEDULIN Body found in the sea, suspected to be connected to the death of a woman from Austria

(Patria) - The body of a person, currently unknown, was found on Sunday morning in the sea in the Bay of Medulin, and the police are checking if it is the son of a 79-year-old woman who has been searched for since the discovery of her body on Saturday evening in a family house in Medulin.

This morning, around 8:10 AM, the police received a report that there was a possibility of a body being in the sea in the Bay of Medulin. Police officers confirmed the report at the scene, and police proceedings are underway.

The police are determining all circumstances, and proceedings are underway - said the spokesperson for the Istrian Police, Suzana Sokač, briefly.

Unofficially, there is suspicion that the discovery of the dead person in the sea is connected to last night's event of finding the body of a 79-year-old woman, on whom signs of violent death were noticed, writes Hina.

On Saturday, around 6:30 PM, the police received a report from a family member stating that they could not contact her.

After the discovery of the woman's body, a search for her son began.

It is unofficially learned that the victim is an Austrian citizen who had been living in Medulin for years.
