(Patria) - Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić arrived tonight at the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) in Podgorica, where those injured in the Cetinje shooting were hospitalized.
Seven people were killed in the massacre, including two children, while four were seriously injured. The police are searching for the suspected attacker, Aco Martinović.
- A terrible tragedy that has affected us all. Currently, all police units are on the ground.
We are searching for the perpetrator, and we are on the right track. Doctors are fighting for four lives at KCCG. Everyone is currently in surgery, and doctors are fighting for their lives - Spajić told RTCG.
He announced three days of mourning and added that penalties for those who illegally possess and carry weapons must be tightened.
- We have a chronic shortage of police officers in our municipalities. We will announce a competition for the rapid recruitment of police officers without waiting for the Council of Europe's decision, and we will explain later - Spajić stated, adding that the Army of Montenegro is also on standby.
KCCG Director Aleksandar Radović says that four patients who are in life-threatening condition were brought to KCCG. They are three men and one woman.
- All teams are in the operating room. All four operating rooms are currently working. I cannot comment on the outcome of the surgeries - Spajić stated.
