Police temporarily confiscated the flag and initiated misdemeanor proceedings against the 23-year-old for disturbing public order and peace.
He was issued a fine in accordance with the Law on Misdemeanors Against Public Order and Peace.
In addition, a decision was made to expel him from the Republic of Croatia, and he was banned from entering and staying in the European Economic Area for a period of six months.
A video of the incident appeared very quickly. The provocation was accompanied by loud music, and the song "A oj moja kućo na Grmeču" was heard.
This is a song by Baja Mali Knindža, a singer known for Serbian nationalist-inciting songs.
His performances in Croatia, as well as in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, are banned because the lyrics of his songs are treated as hate speech.
