Hungarian drove 249 km/h on Croatian highway

(Patria) - Two days ago, Zadar traffic police caught and fined a 59-year-old driver from Hungary for speeding on the A1 highway.

At 11:10 PM on the A-1 highway, on the section between Pristeg and Pirovac, police officers from the Zadar Traffic Police Station used an interceptor vehicle to record and stop a 59-year-old Hungarian citizen.

The Hungarian was driving a car with Hungarian license plates at a speed of 249 kilometers per hour, in a place where the speed limit is 130 km/h.

In accordance with the Road Traffic Safety Act, the driver was issued a misdemeanor order with a fine of 660 euros for the committed offense.

A protective measure of prohibiting him from driving a Category B motor vehicle in the Republic of Croatia for one month was imposed, the Zadar Police Department announced.
