Macron to Vučić: Serbia's European path has no alternative, BiH's stability is key for the Western Balkans

(Patria) - French President Emmanuel Macron stated that in his conversation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, he reiterated his conviction that Serbia's European path is the only correct one and expressed hope that Belgrade will continue with reforms and the accession process in the spirit of dialogue.

"We have reviewed all aspects of the relations between Serbia and France and decided to further strengthen our cooperation," Macron said.

Particular attention in the conversation was paid to the situation in the Western Balkans region, where Macron emphasized the importance of stability, unity, and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as respect for the rule of law.

"I recalled the importance of dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo and condemned all unilateral moves that could jeopardize that process," the French president added.

In the end, he said that Europe will be realized through unity and cooperation with the countries of the Western Balkans, emphasizing solidarity and responsibility as key European values.
