Thieves steal 475,000 euros from an apartment in Belgrade

(Patria) - Thieves stole as much as 475,000 euros from an apartment in Belgrade.

Members of the Serbian Ministry of Interior - Department for Combating Property Crimes, in cooperation with the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office, arrested M.N. (34), V.R. (37), M.B. (27) and V.Đ. (23) on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of aggravated theft.

The suspect V.Đ. is also charged with the criminal offense of illegal production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosive substances.

They are suspected of stealing 475,000 euros from an apartment in the territory of Stari Grad in August this year, the Ministry of Interior announced.

A search of several locations, in one of the facilities used by V.Đ., found an automatic Heckler & Koch weapon with several pieces of corresponding ammunition, as well as most of the stolen money.

The suspects were detained for up to 48 hours, after which they will be brought, along with a criminal complaint, to the competent prosecutor's office in Belgrade.
