(Patria) - On the second day of the ITF Taekwondo World Championships, held in Poreč, the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lamija Šabović, a member of the Taekyon club from Sarajevo, achieved an outstanding success by winning the bronze medal in the pre-junior -44 kg category.
On her way to the medal, Lamija achieved brilliant victories against representatives from the Czech Republic, Simona Berankova, and Wales, Betti Mia Aprea.
In the fight for a place in the final, after a tough battle, she was defeated by Eva Nester from Ukraine, thus deservedly taking third place.
The bronze medal for Bosnia and Herzegovina, following the two gold medals won yesterday by Melina Ružnić and Mehmed Krupić, is only confirmation that the younger generations coming up will continue along the path of all those athletes who achieved top results representing our country in the past.
