Kurti: Serbia is a danger for Kosovo, the region, and its own citizens

(Patria) - Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti believes that by following the methods of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Serbia poses a danger not only to Kosovo and the region but also to its own citizens.

This was Kurti's reaction to the arrest of two Kosovo citizens by Serbian authorities, who accuse them of war crimes committed against Serbs.

Kurti also accused Serbia at the Kosovo government session of "unjust, deliberate, and malicious arrests of Kosovo citizens and mistreatment of its own citizens."

- Serbia is not only a danger to our citizens, our security, and regional stability in the Balkans; it has recently proven to be a danger to its own citizens who are willing to apologize for the Serbian genocide in Kosovo.

Serbia continues on the path of Vladimir Putin's methods, from intimidation to inhumane torture of political opponents - Kurti stated.

He also accused Serbia of not respecting the agreement within the dialogue on normalization of relations, which the two sides accepted at the end of February last year.

- The first article of the agreement states that the parties, i.e., Kosovo and Serbia, will mutually develop good neighborly relations based on equal rights.

Serbia, however, chooses everything above developing good relations with us; in fact, it chooses attacks on Kosovo, as it did on September 24, 2023, in Banjska, and then protected the perpetrators of this act led by Milan Radoičić - Kurti stated.
