Where will Murphy's political kindergarten go next: Did Konaković and Trojka consciously create a crisis in the interest of Čović and HDZ!?

Dragan Čović and Milorad Dodik confirmed their partnership near Mostar today, a partnership that has been unquestionable for years. By strengthening long-tied party flags and close political stances, Čović and Dodik sent a clear message that neither HDZ nor SNSD can be excluded from the state government of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Today's lunch “Kod Cige” demystified the political immaturity of the leading figures of the Trojka project, unless they consciously went into producing an artificial crisis, which is not impossible.

Elmedin Konaković has been appearing on small and large screens in recent days, explaining to us from studios and press conferences how Trojka is erasing Dodik with an eraser, how they have a strategy to prevent him from blocking the state, how leading European figures will help him in this whole story, to whom he will personally explain that Dodik is an obstacle to Bosnia and Herzegovina's European path.

Sabina Ćudić also appeared occasionally, sending messages that it was over and that they (Trojka) were ready to turn the story in another direction.

However, Konaković didn't even get to check in for his European destinations; Dodik showed with one lunch that Michael Murphy's political kindergarten lacks a grain of political wisdom.

Elmedin Konaković's eraser was eaten for dessert by partners who once again showed that political premature babies have no minimum awareness of who they are dealing with. Dodik emerged triumphantly after the meeting and stated: “Let the Bosniaks agree down there.”

However, there is nothing for the Bosniaks to agree on, because SDA, DF, and Stranka za BiH are clear that they will not join the state government.

After all, it is clear that by 2026, the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue to be formed by Trojka (SDP, NiP, NS), HDZ, and SNSD. It follows that the crisis that led the country to the brink of blockade was first produced in Sarajevo, more precisely in the kindergarten of the outgoing US ambassador.

The only dilemma in this whole story is whether the crisis was created thoughtlessly out of ignorance or deliberately and intentionally.

Among the political events that marked the last quarter of 2024, the adoption of the Law on the Southern Interconnection at the level of the Federation of BiH entity stands out, after which the spotlight of the US administration, the domestic public, and Zagreb turned to the Council of Ministers and Borjana Krišto.

Judging by this, the crisis most suited Dragan Čović and HDZ, who had enough room to buy time, given that they elevated the energy project to the level of ethno-national vital interest in order to take control of the project.

The House of Peoples adopted the Law on the Southern Interconnection on January 16, and after that, the talk about the interest declared as national not only for Bosnia and Herzegovina but also for the United States of America completely subsided. For the project roadmap to continue, it is necessary for the Council of Ministers and the Presidency to prepare and approve an intergovernmental agreement, and for it to be signed with Croatia.

However, it is evident that the crisis diverted attention from the project for which Ambassador Murphy entered the Parliament of the Federation to agree with the opposition on the adoption of a law that the government did not want to adopt.

It is interesting that in the days when the Bosniak Club gathered signatures and when it became clear that the Southern Interconnection would pass in the House of Peoples, Trojka's story about expelling Dodik from power began, with the exception of "if he blocks the European path".

Perhaps it is a coincidence, although that is difficult to exist in politics, because for the past two years we have seen and been thoroughly convinced of the willingness of Trojka's leading figures to be condescending towards the interests of Croatia and both HDZs.

For those who have forgotten, let me briefly remind you that Elmedin Konaković refused to answer the question about Croatia's aggression against BiH, thus denying the rulings of the international court, while at the same time, for two consecutive years, he avoided any confrontation with official Zagreb.

Even in the story of erasing former partners with an eraser, Konaković explained to us that HDZ had been a fair partner to him all along. And because of that HDZ and its leader, Konaković even endured a letter from the US Secretary of State, precisely regarding the blockade of the Southern Interconnection.

Konaković's and Trojka's ministers have continuously collaborated with HDZ at the Federation level, delaying the story about the Southern Interconnection until the Americans lost patience.

Is it not then clear, with a high degree of probability, that Konaković created the crisis in favor of his partner Čović so that the Southern Interconnection would remain in the drawers of the Council of Ministers in the long run?

If the opposite is true, and if he really produced the crisis for the sake of the European path and the intention to remove the obstacle called Dodik, he should resign and show that he is ready for the sacrifice he advertises to the public. Because, today it is more than clear that Dodik and Čović will remain in power, and Dodik's message "let Konaković solve it, he stirred it up" suggests that the epilogue of the story could very well be like the old saying: the mountain trembled, and a mouse was born.

Only Konaković, like his partners, must understand that if Trump wants the Southern Interconnection to be completed quickly, he will get it. There is no more Murphy; the kindergarten will close soon.
