BRIEFLY ON THE MEETING BETWEEN ĐURIĆ AND GRLIĆ RADMAN High degree of agreement: An old song from Karađorđevo

"A high degree of agreement" between Serbia and Croatia on Bosnia and Herzegovina, admit it, sounds like the latest hit from the stage of good old regional politics, which we have heard before, countless times, but with a slight modification.

We know very well what that actually means. Do you remember Karađorđevo? Where "grand plans" were agreed upon behind closed doors, and behind everyone else's backs? Where the fate of BiH was decided, where Serbs and Croats, with the silent consent or helplessness of the international community, wanted to divide Bosnia according to their interests, of course, then as now, "for the good of all" and in the spirit of peace.

And here we are again, the same scenario, the same language. Only instead of Milošević and Tuđman, the foreign ministers of Serbia, Marko Đurić, and Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman, reached a high degree of agreement on the need to ensure the equality of all three peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina through political processes, as well as full respect for the competencies of the entities - RS and the Federation of BiH in accordance with the Dayton structure.

"Equality of all three peoples," "respect for the competencies of the entities," "improving cooperation," "good neighborly relations"... all of this sounds like a nice, diplomatic story, but in practice, it's just dust in the eyes.

Because what happens behind this diplomacy. Constant pushing of national interests over the backs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the constant question of how to divide territories and power, while ordinary people suffer and watch their country slowly become a playground for political games.

"Accelerating the work of coordinators and mixed commissions for open issues" sounds nice, but we know that these commissions are often just a decoration for a host of misunderstandings and unresolved problems, which are swept under the rug while politicians discuss the "future" which is, in fact, just recycled past.

Đurić claims that nurturing good neighborly relations is a priority, but at the same time supports a policy that sows division and maintains an "equality" where the rights of one people are pushed aside.

In short, "a high degree of agreement" is just another diplomatic euphemism for what we all already know: power and influence continue to be divided without a real solution for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which remains trapped in the political games of Serbia and Croatia, while its citizens are barely mentioned, as if they don't exist!
