The leaders of the political project 'Trojka' have definitively lost touch with reality in their attempt to present themselves to the Bosnian public as leaders of the process. This is shown by more or less everything they have said during their media appearances, where they have rushed out like sharpshooters to explain to us that they have "erased Dodik with an eraser".
Leading among them is the leader of the People and Justice party (NiP), who, in the manner of a serious manipulator, tried to present his own ignorance of the processes as part of 'Trojka's' strategy to remove Milorad Dodik's SNSD from state power.
"We still have three months for the European path," explained Elmedin Konaković, offering Dodik's blockade of the European path as the key reason for parting ways with him. However, shortly after, Konaković explains to us that Dodik, through delegates in the House of Peoples of the State Parliament, can block processes for two, three, four months, but not forever.
I wrote long ago that he should be listened to carefully, because what he says best reveals his confusion and ignorance. From Konaković's two stated claims, if we are to believe him, there will be nothing of the European path. Simply logically, if the next three months are crucial, and Dodik, according to Konaković, can block for that long, it is clear that this will be another missed opportunity.
Therefore, we can conclude with full right that 'Trojka' (SDP, NiP, NS) sacrificed the European path to show the domestic and international public that they are strong enough to get rid of Dodik. And the European path itself was cited as the reason for the split with Dodik, so the question arises whether Konaković's, Nermin Nikšić's, and Edin Forto's strategy will cost Bosnia and Herzegovina more than Dodik.
It is clear that Bosnia and Herzegovina will pay the price, as its institutions will very likely end up in a deadlock of blockades, and the European path, which 'Trojka' swore by, will once again be derailed.
Likewise, it is clear that 'Trojka's' political coup in the BiH Parliament did not aim for a better future for the country, but rather to create a ground on which this political project will try to "wash itself clean" of everything they delivered to Dodik and Dragan Čović in the past two years. This is clear from Konaković's statements, who persistently calls for SDA to enter into a partnership with Čović and Dodik. In doing so, Konaković forgets the numerous appeals in 2022/23 to everyone in 'Trojka' to try to form a coalition at least without Dodik.
In that regard, the leader of NiP is counting on forgetfulness, because he probably thinks we have forgotten that the SDP is most responsible for SNSD having four delegates in the House of Peoples. Even high-ranking SDP members confirmed this by protesting against it.
The fact that Konaković is lost between not knowing the processes and the inability to orient himself politically is also shown by his message that blockades cannot last forever. It is clear that Konaković is not a high-level politician, but anyone even slightly familiar with BiH events knows that blockades have lasted for a year, or even two, as for example in the 2010-2014 term when the Council of Ministers was waited for for two years. We had a similar blockade after the 2018 elections or the one after Inzko's amendments to the Criminal Code.
Therefore, blockades are certain, and only in Konaković's plans can they be ended by talks with EU representatives. It is obvious that Konaković does not fully understand who he is dealing with.
Konaković also forgets that the one who installed him, Nikšić, and Forto in power vertically is leaving in about 15 days, so it is unclear who he is counting on to drive out the SNSD members and clear the way for 'Trojka's' strategy. But Konaković has no problem invoking apartheid methods, such as those applied in FBiH in 2022 and 2023.
"SDA thought we couldn't remove them in FBiH, well, we removed them," Konaković exclaims in the ecstasy of a political ignoramus with the FASTO strategy. He forgets that what he calls "we removed them" was the theft of the political will of a constituent people, along with changes to election rules on election day and a one-day suspension of the FBiH Constitution.
Undoubtedly, his words hinted that 'Trojka's' B-strategy is for Schmidt to remove SNSD, SDA, DF, Party of BiH from the State Parliament, so that 'Trojka' has room to maneuver. What a strategist, such is his strategy.
Unlike Konaković, who is again running around the media bases pretending to be a political mastermind, HDZ, as well as the opposition from RS, show at least a little bit of wisdom by pointing out all the potential problems that 'Trojka's' hasty erasures can lead Bosnia and Herzegovina into.
However, Konaković and his Sarajevo partners are aware of how deeply they have sunk in the past two years, so nothing else matters to them but to try to obscure everything done since 2022 and re-establish themselves as an alternative. Although, it is difficult for ruling parties to be an alternative to anything, but that is probably how it works in the FASTO strategy.
And yes, these alternatives should be continuously reminded that they made Dodik a European partner, and now they would attribute all failures to his account.
And the strategy, if the 'Trojka' project sticks to it, could very easily lead to a blockade that will last until the General Elections in 2026. This means that the budget, the European path, and all other solutions of interest to the citizens of this country will be on standby.
It has been clear to us since the post-election peripeteias of 2022 that confusion is the only vision and strategy of the 'Trojka' project. I hope that by 2026, we will learn that the future of the country depends on political responsibility and maturity, not on improvisations.
