What are the new fuel prices in Croatia?

(Patria) - The Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted decrees at today's telephone session, continuing to implement measures aimed at mitigating the rise in fuel prices.

In addition to the affordability of energy sources, the Government's priority goal, as announced, is to preserve the security of supply in conditions of global instability and crises.

Therefore, at a telephone session, the Government adopted a Decree extending the application of measures to reduce excise duties on unleaded motor gasoline and diesel fuel for the period from April 7 to April 20.

A Decree determining the maximum retail prices of petroleum products was also adopted, according to which the maximum retail prices are calculated based on the base price of fossil fuel in the previous 14-day period, with a limited margin of EUR 0.1545/l for gasoline, EUR 0.1045/l for diesel fuel, and EUR 0.0436/l for blue diesel, and EUR 0.8737/kg for propane-butane mixtures for bottles, or EUR 0.4116/kg for large tanks.

The Decree enters into force on the first day after its publication, and this regime will apply for the next 14-day period.

New prices will be:
‣ EUR 1.66/l for gasoline (increase of EUR 0.04/l);
‣ EUR 1.85/l for diesel fuel (increase of EUR 0.12/l);
‣ EUR 1.36/l for blue diesel (increase of EUR 0.17/l);
‣ EUR 1.94/kg for LPG for tanks (decrease of EUR 0.05/kg); and
‣ EUR 2.51/kg for LPG for bottles (decrease of EUR 0.06/kg).



If the Government's measures were not in place and retail prices were freely formed at the level of energy company margins before the first Decree, they would amount to:
‣ EUR 1.76/l for gasoline;
‣ EUR 2.06/l for diesel fuel;
‣ EUR 1.42/l for blue diesel;
‣ EUR 2.09/kg for LPG for tanks; and
‣ EUR 2.79/kg for LPG for bottles.
