Karić 'naively' smiles: No word on Vidikovac, but also not on New Year's Eve with Severina, will someone be held accountable for false reports

The Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office recently decided not to conduct an investigation into the case related to potential irregularities in the issuance of urban planning consent for the "Vidikovac" facility on Trebević.

Years have been irrevocably lost, and the media campaign that put Abdulah Skaka on the pillory has burst like a soap bubble. However, the media that led the way in uncovering the non-existent affair have only timidly reported that the investigation has been suspended, without anyone asking whether someone will be held responsible for false reporting.

This primarily concerns the current mayor, Benjamina Karić, who, with a 'naive' smile, did not comment much on the new situation and the fact that the project has been halted for a long three years!? What about that, who is responsible for it, and how much will this adventure cost the citizens, or how much are we already in the red.

Simply put, the prosecutor made a decision, concluding that the submitted report and case file clearly do not indicate a criminal offense.

We remind you that in January of this year, the Mayor of Stari Grad Municipality, Irfan Čengić, signed a conclusion suspending the procedure initiated by the City of Sarajevo's request for technical acceptance and issuance of a permit for the use of completed works at the "Vidikovac - Trebević" facility.

As stated in the document, the suspension of the procedure lasts until the issue of the existence of a criminal offense is resolved.

Criminal charges against those responsible in the case of the construction of this facility were filed by the Mayor of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić, along with numerous visits to the construction site, which was actually closed.

It is also true that the KS Prosecutor's Office is continuing its investigation regarding the construction of the facility itself and is taking the necessary actions to make a decision, but the slowness of the judiciary's work leaves additional room for speculation and political bickering, especially in the midst of the election campaign.

Mayor Karić, apart from changing the conditions for renting Vidikovac, has not dwelled much on questions about why Vidikovac has not been opened yet.

It is also unknown whether an advertisement has been published and whether the procedure for leasing the facility has been initiated.

But that is precisely Karić's way of working, who, for example, for the New Year's Eve 2024 celebration, first signed a contract and then published a public call!

Mayor Karić and her partners are bringing us Severina, the Croatian queen of pop, and all of this will cost the citizens of Sarajevo 800,000 KM.





On the public procurement portal on July 12, the contract was published. The City of Sarajevo will pay 679,000 marks plus VAT (around 800,000 marks) for New Year's Eve.

The contract arrived at Patria's editorial office significantly before July 12; at the time, it looked like a good montage. The unbelievable amount suggested a deception. However, through subsequent research, we obtained bank guarantees for this contract, which indicates that it is indeed real!

Otherwise, Karić is a candidate for the Mayor of Novi Sarajevo, but before the local election results are announced, she will have to explain a lot to the citizens about her actions during her term as Mayor of Sarajevo, which she obtained thanks to the machinations of NIP and SDP, who prevented the election of Bogić Bogićević.
