How Serbs "recognized" the Bosniak Party's program in Berane

By: Bejto Šahmanović, Vice-President of the Bosniak Council and founder of the Bosniak Democratic Movement

In the Berane elections, the Bosniak Party (BS) won 6.08% or 827 votes. According to the census, 4.48% or 1,103 residents of Berane identified as Bosniaks.

According to the census, 23% of citizens, and presumably Bosniaks as well, are disenfranchised, i.e., under 18 years old, which ultimately means 254 Bosniaks who do not have the right to vote. Therefore, about 850 Bosniaks in Berane have the right to vote.

Let's move on...

Voter turnout in the Berane elections was around 60%, so we come to the result that about 510 Bosniaks turned out to vote. If there were many Bosniaks on other lists, and knowing that BS had about 50% support from the Bosniak population in the last parliamentary elections, we arrive at a figure of 255 votes that BS could have won.

The question arises - who gifted 600 votes to the Bosniak Party, and that 50% of Bosniaks voted for BS in Berane, when they were abandoned by the former president of OO BS Berane, Erol Rastoder, and the president of the Youth Forum BS Berane, Omar Mehović???

Anyone who got a D in math in elementary school will understand this. People with purchased diplomas, or those who repeated grades, find this math more difficult.

But let's elaborate on the second model, the idealistic one. Although, again, mathematics is relentless, and the equation called BS has been solved.

Let's assume all 850 Bosniaks in Berane turned out to vote, and let's assume they all voted for BS, then it turns out that the remaining Bosniaks on other lists did not even vote for themselves (which is hard to believe), let alone their families.

What further proves this perfidious game between BS and Vučić's parties in Montenegro is that this "loan" of voters was carried out at polling stations with a mixed national structure, where voters can be borrowed without it being provable.

The fact that everything was pre-arranged and conceived in the cabinet of Vučić's lapdogs in Montenegro is also evidenced by the joint photograph from the BS election headquarters in Berane, which includes almost the entire Presidency, while there are almost no Berane residents, i.e., about ten of them.

Another fact supports the thesis that while votes are being counted, the leader of the BS list in Berane, Dr. Denis Adrović, says the following: "We have already secured the first mandate, as the vote counting is not yet finished, we are aiming for a second mandate".

Did the doctor become clairvoyant or does he know something?

He continues: "People of all faiths and nations in our city have recognized our tolerant (read: Greater Serbian) policy, thanks to the Bosniak people, but also to all OTHER (read: Greater Serbian) peoples who also voted for us, we are no longer just a nationalist party, we represent the interests of our people but also of our fellow citizens of other faiths and nations".

Thank you, doctor, you have drawn for us what we think. Thank you, hotshot, who accepted to be the list leader two days before the election, even though you were never a member of BS, which says enough about your understanding of politics, as well as the BS members who accepted you, a former member of OO DPS Berane who, by the way, in the last elections, tried to please his boss Milorad Magdelinić by voting for the Socialist People's Party.

Of course, Draža Ibrahimović seals it with his statement, always ready for speeches and cameras, with a vocabulary of no more than 100 words, surrounded by his sycophants, he says excitedly: "That everyone believes in the policy of BS. That Berane be a city of all faiths. All nations and all faiths voted for us. It is beautiful to be in Berane today, Berane (cases are his strong suit) has shown that it is a city of democracy." When I heard him, I thought that Berane is the most desirable place for coexistence, that there are no graffiti and hatred, and that everyone is eager to move to Berane.

Why is all this happening???

After the Podgorica fiasco, the BS leadership decided to seriously improve their Greater Serbian relations with Vučić's lapdogs in Montenegro - if we are already "partners" and playing for you, we listen to everything, there is no statement from us anywhere, do you see how good we are, we are good for everyone, we were good for DPS too, and we will be for you too, can you help us a little? My party is divided, people are leaving me, wherever I go they call me a Chetnik, for God's sake, help me, people, I have to somehow justify my entry into such a Government, do you see what happened to me in Podgorica???

And Ervin Draža, brother, why didn't you say that the problem was Podgorica, we would have helped you then too, it costs us nothing, you did the same with DPS, you had situations where votes arrived without you even knowing where they came from, and you still pretended to pursue good policies, you do everything the same as with DPS, only now you smile a little more, to make it seem like you are more sincere and bigger "fighters" for Bosniaks, and it was never a burden for you to have someone lend you some votes. But you said you could do it alone in Podgorica, so you screwed us and yourselves.

The conclusion is missing, Ervin Draža Ibrahimović, in cooperation with Vučić's lapdogs in Montenegro, must somehow show that the Bosniak Party's entry into the Government with the former Democratic Front (now the coalition Together for the Future of Montenegro) is the right move and that he is keeping the situation stable within his party.

How to show this? With stable results in local elections.

With whose help? With the help of pro-Serbian parties close to Vučić who receive money from Serbia.

And now the main question of all questions: What does it cost the major parties to gift 600 votes to Draža Ibrahimović in Berane, who has become their strategic partner to break up Montenegro in order to justify his entry into a coalition with DF???

NOTHING, a trifle for them, but a big thing to drag the Bosniak people in Montenegro into the Greater Serbian quagmire.

Smart, indeed, and they found Draža for their game, as Americans would say, a "useful idiot".

The fact that this is a tried-and-tested Greater Serbian tactic is also shown by the situation that occurred in Kosovo in 2022, when the Supreme Court of Kosovo, Arijana Hodžić, annulled as many as 4,205 votes out of a total of 6,422 votes, stating that these were votes of the Serbian national minority, not Bosniak, for whose mandate Hodžić was running.

After this decision, Arijana was stripped of her mandate in the Kosovo parliament and it was awarded to Duda Balje, for whom, according to the decision of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kosovo, members of the Bosniak national minority in that country had actually voted.

It turns out that Kosovo, with all its problems, is a much more serious country than Montenegro.

These games will continue in the future, of which all citizens of Montenegro should be aware, cities where pro-Vučić options have a dominant force in those municipalities are desirable, and do not be surprised when you see votes but no people, the scheme is already worked out, the strategy is written.

In the end, the matter is clear, the leadership of the Bosniak Party has accepted this game, consciously or unconsciously, some by order, some on a whim, and some for personal reasons, to participate in the ethno-federalization of Montenegro, thus in the breakup of Montenegro, and ultimately in unpleasant scenes…

The political situation is such that it will move towards creating a "third" way, where all "civic" options will unite and try to save the situation, or towards a new referendum with the question - are we Vučić's property or an independent state...

Georgia is close to us, and making Montenegro into Hungary would be a defeat for our country.

Dear Bosniaks, citizens above all, just so you know - YOU DECIDE. May it be for your good...
