HOW NERMIN KILLED THE PRINCES Ogrešević uses illusion to topple Dodik with those imposed by Schmidt!

Non-verbally poor, verbally even worse in front of cameras — Nermin Ogrešević, president of NES, mostly demonstrates on TV screens how someone who has been in politics for two decades should not behave in public space.

However, from one guest appearance to another, Ogrešević actually best proves that it is very difficult to deceive publicly. Disjointed, interrupted and unfinished sentences with which he never fully clarifies his political stance best testify against him as a politician who says one thing, thinks another (or someone thinks for him), and does a third.

Last night on the Central News, he looked more like a man struggling with the fear of not telling the truth, and even the proverbially pushy Hadžifejzović did not want to prolong or question Ogrešević's sudden turnaround and return to the old flock gathered around the Sarajevo tricolors.

Because Ogrešević's problem is even greater due to the fact that his break from the Troika was primarily two years ago and that in those two years there were many accusations and condemnations that Ogrešević had much more convincingly presented on TV screens and other podiums.

Last night was the complete opposite, repeating the mantra that his NES is entering a pact with the devil to save Bosnia and Herzegovina from Milorad Dodik, even though it is clear even to children in kindergartens that Ogrešević's, and especially NES's, exclusive interest is power in Krajina.

And to be perfectly clear — it is a legitimate interest of a political option to want power where its optimal strength is greatest, but it is hypocritical towards the public and voters to defend that with a “fight against Dodik, for Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

Ogrešević fired off clichés, thus telling us that he joined the Troika's flock “because he wants to free up space to form state government with the opposition from the RS and eliminate Dodik.” What the politically immature Ogrešević does not understand is the fact that there is a two-tier political barrier, so his story sounds more painful than funny.

Because the first barrier to eliminating Dodik is Dragan Čović and his HDZ, and the second is the fact that SNSD in the House of Peoples can — and ultimately with Čović — block any attempt to remove Dodik's cadres. What political paths Ogrešević was clearing in that case is probably only clear to him.

Just as it is probably unclear to him what he meant when he told us that there is an option to initiate the removal of the Council of Ministers headed by Borjana Krišto. What Ogrešević probably does not understand is the fact that in that situation he would have against him not only HDZ and SNSD, but also the entire Troika, which gave a lot to get its hands on the chairs.

After all, Ogrešević himself spoke about this in opposition fervor at one time:

“Borders and red lines have been crossed. The plan for the dismantling of Bosnia and Herzegovina is being implemented rapidly. Dodik and Čović are aligned, and the Troika supports this. We must be extremely cautious. We must not be naive. I call on all of us to be maximally vigilant,” Ogrešević stated on July 25, 2023.

But apparently after that he fell asleep and dreamed that he too could sweeten himself with a piece of power along the vertical, believing that we would all collectively experience amnesia and forget the two years in which he accused the Troika of all sorts of things.

In February 2025, Ogrešević remembered his principled stance and explained to us:

“I personally, at a joint meeting with Mr. Murphy and Sattler, representatives of partners who should form the government, said that NES will not accept, cannot be part of a government that will be appointed by the High Representative de facto violating the Constitution of the Federation. We had an extremely principled stance there and did not shy away from saying that to those who should be partners, including the international community.”

And while he accuses others, rightly or not, of violating agreements and principles, Ogrešević forgets his own principled stance and agrees to be a trailer to the political tricycle that evidently has neither a plan, nor the ability, nor a vision to bring Bosnia and Herzegovina back from the wrong path onto which they pushed it with their (in)action.

Ogrešević's confusion on the Central News reveals how dangerous self-deception is for an individual.

True, to a lesser extent, self-deception can be useful as a survival mechanism — it helps you not to crack immediately under pressure. But if you overdo it, it becomes very dangerous because it prevents you from facing reality.

And Ogrešević has long lost touch with reality!
