Izetbegović met with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti

(Patria) - President of the Party of Democratic Action Bakir Izetbegović met today with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Albin Kurti.

The meeting discussed relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Kosovo, and opportunities to improve cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, and security.

In this context, Izetbegović welcomed the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to abolish the visa regime for citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina traveling to Kosovo, which, as emphasized, will significantly contribute to strengthening cooperation.

The need to implement all obligations undertaken by the Western Balkan countries within the framework of the Berlin Process was jointly emphasized, which includes enabling the free movement of people, capital, goods, and services.

The European integration process and the possibilities of mutual cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Kosovo on the path to membership in the European Union were also discussed.

Special attention was paid to the situation in the region, geopolitical developments and their impact on the Western Balkans, and malign foreign influences that tend to cause instability.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Emilija Redžepi, member of the SDA Presidency and head of the Bosniak Club in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament Šefik Džaferović, and SDA Secretary General Halid Genjac.
