Political analyst or agitator for the current government and the Trojka parties, Ivana Marić, today mocked the reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein ef. Kavazović, on her X and Facebook profiles.
The reason was Reis Kavazović's call to all khatibs in our country to recite the Prayer for Rain with their congregations, following the Sunnah and example of the Prophet Muhammad a.s..
However, instead of respect for Islam and Muslims with whom she lives, but from whom she has clearly learned nothing, Marić displayed elementary rudeness and, why not say it, Islamophobia.
"This brilliant idea for solving climate problems needs to be patented as soon as possible. Really!", Marić wrote mockingly.

When she was justifying and apologizing a few years ago for her statement that Bosniaks invented the idea of not being "just Muslims," I thought Marić might have genuinely made a gaffe, as she claimed. But if we look at some of her other posts, and today's one, it's clear that Marić is already well on her way to nationalism. Because if you mock the highest religious authority and the Islamic Community in BiH, it shows that she, as someone living in Sarajevo, has learned nothing.
When I wrote to her in a comment below today's post on Facebook that it's better not to comment on things she doesn't understand, Marić, in the spirit of democracy, deleted me. And I thank her for that, because I would certainly eliminate her, as I do with every nationalist and Islamophobe if they happen to be in my FB circle.
It should be recalled that in 2021, Ivana Marić was one of the names considered for deputy mayor of Sarajevo, at the proposal of Naša stranka. At that time, she was convincing me and justifying herself that she was not a nationalist and that she "jokingly made a mistake" with her statement about Bosniaks. Perhaps I believed her then, but today it is clear to me that it was neither a joke nor a gaffe, but a firm political conviction that she nurtures, just like the party that wanted to propose her for this position at the time.
“There are people who are just waiting for a mistake, especially when it is led by an army of bots and they impose some stance. I don't know how I could have hidden so much nationalism that they imply to me all these years. It cannot be hidden,” Marić told Patria in March 2021.
And indeed, she was right. She can no longer hide the nationalism.
And just to mention, I am clearly not the only one who pointed out her wrong post. The post disappeared from FB, while it is still available on the X network.
