Incidents near the Serbian Assembly: Citizens support Dijana Hrka, chairs and bottles thrown from 'ćacilend', police on site

(Patria) - A large number of citizens gathered in front of the Serbian Assembly to express their support for Dijana Hrka, the mother of Stefan Hrka, who is one of the 16 killed in the collapse of the canopy at the Railway Station in Novi Sad, and who has started a hunger strike.

A large number of police officers are also present, as well as a riot police unit.

Yesterday, during the commemoration of the anniversary of the tragedy in Novi Sad, Hrka announced that she would go on a hunger strike until the President of Serbia fulfills three conditions.

A group of masked individuals from the "ćacilend" are throwing chairs, water bottles, pyrotechnics, and batons.

Dijana Hrka briefly addressed the crowd via megaphone, thanking the citizens who came to support her, as well as the media reporting on the events in front of the Assembly.

Meanwhile, songs, including "Sing, Serbia (even when you want to cry)", continue to be heard from the "ćacilend".

A large number of people have announced they will stay overnight with Dijana.

President Aleksandar Vučić stated that law enforcement agencies are ready to respond but that peace and composure must be maintained.
