(Patria) - Croatian Minister of Defence Ivan Anušić announced on X that "the time when Croatia asked Belgrade what it could do and how it should act is over and it will never happen again".
Anušić was responding to the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which announced that it would seek a detailed explanation from the ministries of foreign affairs of Croatia and Albania regarding the signing of a tripartite memorandum of cooperation with Kosovo on defence matters.
"The time when Croatia asked Belgrade what it could do and how it should act is over and it will never happen again. We have been an independent state for 35 years, we have gone through five years of aggression and politics that advocated such a narrative.
Croatia will sign declarations with whomever it wishes, and the cooperation with Albania and Kosovo is aimed at knowledge exchange, cooperation of military industries, support for the Euro-Atlantic path of Albania and Kosovo…", Anušić wrote on X.

Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo signed a declaration on strengthening defence cooperation, which is expected to contribute to the security of Southeast Europe.
The declaration was signed in Tirana by the defence ministers of the three countries – Ivan Anušić, Pirr Vengu, and Ejup Maqedonci.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić also commented on this declaration, stating that NATO probably did not know about it. He had a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels yesterday.
