Croatian Electricity Company: No damage on the grid, we are conducting an analysis with neighbouring countries

(Patria) - On Friday around 12:00, almost all of Dalmatia was left without electricity, from Zadar to Dubrovnik. HEP announced that the power supply interruption in parts of the Republic of Croatia was caused by an international disruption that affected several countries.

The Croatian transmission system operator is conducting an analysis with system operators from neighbouring countries to determine the cause.

In Split, as well as in other towns and cities, traffic lights are not working, and sirens of emergency services are constantly heard throughout the city.

Besides Split, according to reports, Omiš, Makarska, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Šibenik, Zaton, Skradin, Vodice, Murter and numerous other islands were left without electricity.

The power supply interruption in parts of the Republic of Croatia was caused by an international disruption that affected several countries.

To mitigate the problems of the international power supply interruption, the Croatian Electricity Company has put all its production capacities into full operation so that HOPS can ensure the supply of electricity to citizens of the Republic of Croatia in the shortest possible time.

Regarding the HEP distribution network, HEP - Distribution System Operator reports that there is no damage on the grid, the statement said.

Electricity went out in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. After a little more than an hour, electricity returned to parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
