(Patria) -Students of Belgrade faculties gathered last night in the center of Belgrade at Terazije, where they organized a spectacular welcome for students who arrived in the capital of Serbia ahead of today's mass protest under the slogan "15 for 15". It is expected that this gathering will be one of the largest anti-government protests in the recent history of Serbia.
In the late evening hours, they were joined by students from Novi Sad, as well as from other parts of Serbia, who, after several days of walking, cycling, and marathon running, were nearing their goal.
Those gathered made noise with whistles and vuvuzelas and chanted "Pumpaj", which has become the signature slogan of the protests.
Some groups of students walked for more than five days to join the large protest called "15 of 15" scheduled for tomorrow at 4 p.m.
Today, a mass protest of students in blockade, farmers, and citizens will be held in Belgrade, and it is expected to be the largest gathering in a series of demonstrations that began after the collapse of the canopy at the Novi Sad Railway Station on November 1, 2024, when 15 people were killed.
During the night, several incidents were recorded, and world media, such as Reuters, The Times, and The Sunday Times, broadcast live on their YouTube channels the welcome of cyclists, marathon runners, and students who walked from many parts of Serbia to Belgrade to attend the protest on March 15.
