Hackers claim to have attacked KBC Zagreb: Ransom payment deadline is July 18

(Patria) - The Twitter profile HackManac announced that the hacker group LockBit 3.0 is behind the attack on KBC Zagreb.

This is a hacker group that engages in ransomware attacks, i.e., attacks after which a certain ransom is demanded.

According to their announcement, KBC Zagreb has been given a deadline of July 18 to pay an amount not specified in the announcement.

HackManac writes that the hackers stole data from KBC Zagreb's medical records, examination data, medical papers and research, data on operations, organ donations and donors, data from the tissue bank, employee data, data on donations and business relationships with private companies, and data on drug supplies.

Russian hackers deny responsibility: "We never attack hospitals"

SOA previously confirmed that it is cooperating with the police on this case, and the Minister of Health Vili Beroš was expected to receive reports from healthcare institutions on the state of IT security today.

A Russian hacker group claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on Croatian financial institutions last week, but denied claims that they attacked the hospital, stating that they never do.
