(Patria) - Klemen Grošelj, a Member of the European Parliament in the previous term, assessed that it is impossible to meet the request of the President of Ukraine for the West to send peacekeeping troops there.

"It's not five brigades, but 4 divisions, which neither NATO nor the EU have.
In 1995, NATO assembled 3 divisions for Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of IFOR with a total of 54,000 troops on the ground and an additional 25,000 for support in the region, and several thousand more in logistics in participating countries," the Slovenian politician announced on his X account.
He pointed out that "Ukraine is 11 times larger than Bosnia and Herzegovina and the front is over 1,000 km long".
"Everyone who is knowledgeable about military matters, including the Russians, knows how unserious this whole thing is," he commented.
