GI 21 May: Montenegro cannot be part of the EU until it exposes and condemns the crimes of Greater Serbian politics

(Patria) - The resolution on the genocide in Srebrenica, which will soon be adopted in the UN General Assembly, has once again stirred up the stagnant swamp in which the ruling majority resides, announced the Citizens' Initiative 21 May.

“Regardless of the incidental calculation and embarrassment, Spajić's announcement that the Government will support the Resolution enraged Serbian chauvinists and encouraged Vučić's agency in Montenegro to parrot the headlines from neo-fascist Belgrade tabloids. Therefore, it is not surprising that the spineless PES did not have the strength to decisively stand behind its leader, while Bečić's party, as always, chose a state of hibernation, once again confirming the misery of its own politics,” they say in GI 21 May.

On the other hand, they claim, the hypocritical Mandić will not bring down the Government over the Resolution because, for his NSD, it is a secondary issue compared to the expectations regarding the reconstruction of the executive branch.

“Contrary to Mandić's 'neo-Chetnik-quartermaster cunning', Knežević has taken on the role of a puppet frontman and now threatens Spajić with a breakup of the 'litija brotherhood'. To complete the provincial Greater Serbian circus, Joanikije also responded to the task, warning Spajić of the consequences of a 'Saint Sava fatwa'. Therefore, we recommend to the political and church agency of Šešelj's apprentice that, instead of repeating the nonsense and lies of official Belgrade, they start by distributing the verdicts of the Hague Tribunal and the International Court of Justice to their supporters,” they say in GI 21 May.

At the same time, they emphasize, they should know that Montenegro cannot be part of the EU until, through a culture of remembrance, it decisively exposes and condemns the crimes of Greater Serbian politics and its role in them, which consequently includes breaking off political relations with the anti-European and anti-Montenegrin Vučić regime.
