(Patria) - Bosnian actor and writer Feđa Štukan landed at Sarajevo airport this afternoon after being denied entry into Serbia.
- I don't know why, but I think I was denied entry because of my criticism of the authorities in Serbia. As long as this government is in power, I don't know if I'll be able to enter Serbia - Štukan told Radio Free Europe after returning to Sarajevo.
A day earlier, Štukan was detained at Belgrade airport due to a "negative security risk assessment".
Štukan was not immediately told why he was detained, but in the document he later received, the reason for the entry ban into Serbia was stated as a "negative security risk assessment".
"It has been determined that there is a negative security risk assessment regarding the entry and stay of foreigners on the territory of the Republic of Serbia," it is stated as the reason for refusing entry into Serbia.
The "Krokodil" festival shared Štukan's statement on Instagram shortly after he said they took him out of line at the airport.
They stated that the Bosnian actor was heading to Belgrade to perform at this festival on June 23.
In mid-June last year, he was detained at the border crossing between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia for several hours.
This was immediately after he first supported the "Serbia Against Violence" protests, and then attended a protest march in Belgrade.
